What is New England Dairy & Food Council?
New England Dairy & Food Council is a non-profit nutrition education organization serving Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. We are staffed by registered dietitians. Our goal is to ensure health professionals, scientists, media and educators have a credible body of nutrition knowledge upon which to educate or base health recommendations.
Specifically, we serve as a resource by providing:
- The latest science-based nutrition information to the media and health professionals.
- Patient education materials to health professionals
- Nutrition education teaching materials to educators
- Exciting nutrition promotion materials and HACCP resources to school food service professionals.
How are you supported?
New England Dairy & Food Council is supported by the dairy farmers of New England and Eastern New York. Since 1920, the maintenance of a credible, science-based organization that educators, health professionals, media and consumers can rely on for trusted nutrition information has been very important to the region's dairy farmers.
